Last year, when I got up to around 8 miles, I suddenly developed knee problems (probably runner%26#039;s knee - chondromalacia) that got so bad I stopped running for the season (even after a two-week break, the pain would come back within a mile).
I%26#039;ve looked into shoes, my form, pronation, knee exercises, stretching- but one frequent factor contributing to runner%26#039;s knee is how fast one increases their mileage. However, I can%26#039;t find any sort of remotely authoritative sounding recommendations on how quickly I should increase (preferably something backed by some research, but otherwise at least backed by a doctor or someone with sports-medicine credentials). I%26#039;ve heard stuff between adding several miles a week and %26quot;not more than a 10% increase per week,%26quot; never with any references.
I%26#039;m not looking for %26quot;this worked OK for me,%26quot; I%26#039;m looking for at least slightly authoritative recommendations, if available.
How quickly can I safely increase the distance I run?
The 10% rule is a great rule to follow for avoiding injury. In the source is an article from Runner%26#039;s World about the 10% rule. You hear the 10% guideline a lot because it works!

How do I look cute in my school uniform?
I go to an girl%26#039;s school and I am in my last year.
I have to wear this new light grey jumper this year, because I am in a senior year. So I can%26#039;t wear the old cherry red jumper like I used to before. The red jumper made me look younger and brighter along with my navy skirt.
But now, with the new grey jumper, I feel hopeless in it.
I want to ask for tips on how to look better...perhaps I can change my hairstyle or add something to my uniform wear...etc...
I now wear a lght grey jumper, a navy blue skirt, black socks and Dr Martens mary jane shoes.
I also take a Nightmare before christams bag to school.
Though my sis say that I look cool and pretty.
But I still feel hopeless...
Please help me to convince myself...;(

Ok, so i%26#039;m female and i have a really bad foot odor. It doesn%26#039;t matter what shoes i wear unless it%26#039;s thongs. New or old. When i%26#039;ve worn them for a few hours they smell.
I don%26#039;t wear socks unless i wear running shoes. Which is a rare thing. Usually it%26#039;s heels or those enclosed ballet style flat shoes.

(I read that it kills some of the bacteria) Also, Target sells disposable shoe liners (with a light scent). Try using those in your shoes. They are pretty cheap and you can wear the shoes at least 5 times before you need to replace them.

Where is the mildew in my clothes schrank is coming from.?
Hi am an American service member living in Germany. Last summer I discovered that some of my shoes had mildew in them. (new shoes) I took them out cleaned them and left them out. Later I found some of my clothes as well were mildew. Can some one tell me how to get rid of this problem??? I have Asthma and it bothers me a lot. My schrank is next to an outside wall, there is nothing wet inside or damp. Please help me. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

I am on my feet around 10 hours a day at work. Tennis shoes (Running shoes, walking shoes, etc) have been tried. I have tried a couple of pairs of work boots to no avail. My last purchase was hiking boots and they have worked the best so far. I know I am not the only factory worker so someone else must have the answer I am looking for. All you need to do you is put your right lace to the other side of your lace and do it for your other lace on the other side. Than you just keep doing that until the reach the top. Then you just tie it together on the top into a bow than tada!!

I play basketball pretty much daily. I have a nice pair of sneakers for when I play on a nice indoor court. I have been using last season%26#039;s basketball sneakers this year when I play on the town%26#039;s public outside courts, which I do probably 5-6 times a week. My old sneakers have absolutely no grip on them, and I recently fell because of the no traction and injured my hand. Big toe keeps digging through shoe insoles, I need a replacement.?
I have gone through three different kinds now. Some random one I found at Wal Mart, a Dr. Sholls gel one, and now a Dr. Sholls heavy work one. On all three the big toe on my right foot manages to dig a hole in them after only a week or two of use.
Does anyone make a higher quality product that has better padding up front or maybe something designed to last a long time? It happens in all my shoes but it usually takes months, with all these replacements I have been trying I have been destroying them in days.

Try going to one of the shoe shops that have diabetic shoes. They carry some thick plastic type insole that are very very hard to wear threw. Does anyone make a higher quality product that has better padding up front or maybe something designed to last a long time? It happens in all my shoes but it usually takes months, with all these replacements I have been trying I have been destroying them in days.

Try going to one of the shoe shops that have diabetic shoes. They carry some thick plastic type insole that are very very hard to wear threw. Where do I get cheep dance shoes?
I%26#039;m an amateur musical theater actress and every time I%26#039;ve had a dance audition I%26#039;ve done it in socks or bare feet. After coming home from my last audition, feet throbbing as usual, I decided it was time I invested in some good dance shoes. My mom said she would pay for them if they aren’t too expensive and I don%26#039;t exactly have a job yet so can someone kindly tell me where I can find a good pair for a decent price? Jazz shoes are pretty cheap most of the time, normally ranging from $20 to $40. You shouldn%26#039;t always go for the cheapest shoe out there, mind you. Unlike regular walking shoes, they don%26#039;t cost more just because they are popular or brand name. It is usually priced by quality.
I recommend to not buy online. Try and find a nearby dance store. It is more reliable that way. Capezio is a great place for dance shoes. Try their store locator.

It is worth the investment to get a pair of quality shoes. You may think that buying a pair of cheap shoes will at least keep your bare feet from throbbing after an audition. On the contrary. Odds are you will end up not only with throbbing feet but a blister or worse.
Invest in the shoes that you not only want but need. Your feet will thank you.

wear your white dress shirt thing and if it is too short to wear just as a dress, that wear jean shorts with any matching flip flops. you want something clean, bright, simple, hot!!!, and memerable. what ever you do, dont wear a logo T or a T with a character on it. if u r going shopping, then try to buy an above knee level, single colored flowy dress.
try somethng from forever 21! i got a brown and orange floral print dress there and i wore it last friday, not just all of my frinds complimented me, some teachers and moms complemented me, even one guy!!!!! but if u can find it, then stick with a simple print or single color!
